About us

I graduated in India back in 2013 and gained 2 years of experience as a general practitioner before moving to New Zealand. For a couple of years, I worked for a more rural practice in Hawkes Bay. Having strong family connections in Wellington I decided to eventually move and have been practicing here since 2019.

I strongly believe in empowering all my patients with every bit of information available to help them make oral health decisions with confidence. I practice all fields of general dentistry with a special interest in restorative treatment and have a growing passion for Digital dentistry.

Outside of dentistry, I enjoy long road trips travelling NZ and often play cricket and badminton for fun.

Byron graduated with his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Otago in 2013. He is registered with the New Zealand Dental Council in the scope of General Dental Practice. He worked in private practice in Dunedin for five years and relocated to Wellington in 2019. He has been working at Naenae Dental Clinic before joining the Hutt Dental Hub.

Byron is a member of the Institute of Digital Dentistry. Digital dentistry is the future of dentistry. This involves 3D scanning of the teeth and fabricating custom-made crowns, bridges, and implant-retained prosthetics.

Byron is a member of the New Zealand Dental Association and attends meetings at the Wellington branch. He has previously filled the role of Secretary/Treasurer at the Otago Branch and been the Otago representative of the Young Dentist Action Group.

Byron is a keen mountain biker and can often be found on the trails in the evening and weekend. He enjoys working with his hands, maintaining his bikes, and stone carving with Oamaru limestone.

I’m a Specialist Pediatric Dentist since 2006. I graduated with a BDS degree from Cairo University (Egypt) and Became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Oral Medicine and Pediatric Dentistry. My Master’s Degree and Specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry was in Leeds (UK). This was followed by a Membership in Pediatric Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.

I worked in many countries overseas like Egypt as a general dentist, Kuwait as a Maxillo-facial Trauma Registrar as well as a Consultant in Pediatric Dentistry later on. In the UK I spent three years as a Specialist Post-graduate registrar while I was obtaining my Master’s Degree and training to be a specialist.

I have taught Pediatric Dentistry to undergraduate and postgraduate students at the University of Otago during my PhD journey in Dunedin at Sir John Walsh Research Institute working on stem cells from baby teeth.

I’m an outgoing, motivated person who loves to challenge themselves. I really enjoy dentistry, and being a part of the process of making patients happy with their smiles. I’m currently working as a dental assistant while I work on getting registered as a dentist in New Zealand.

In 2018 I graduated from the Auckland University of Technology with my Bachelors Degree in Oral Health Therapy.

Whilst in Auckland, I worked with the Waitemata DHB, providing dental care for children and teenagers, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

After making the move back to Wellington in 2021, I was given the opportunity to join the amazing teams across the Naenae Dental Clinic and Hutt Dental Hub. I was born and raised in the Hutt Valley, and am glad to be home!

My aim is to provide all my patients with a calm and gentle dental experience. I hope to give you the confidence to leave with a happy, healthy and educated smile.

I like to spend my spare time outdoors and in good company—food also plays a critical role in my life outside of work.

When I first applied to Naenae dental clinic, I thought working in dental practice will be very dull and mundane. I was pleasantly surprised to see the way we do things is so amazing, judging by the response we get from our patients. My passion for this role comes from my enjoyment of interacting with people, whether it is the patients we treat or the staff I work with. My background before I started here was Bachelor of Commerce (honours) followed by post graduate diploma in management, and regular trainings in NDC has really helped me out to ensure our patients have an exceptional experience from the time they walk through the door to when they leave with a smile, they are proud of. Even though I don’t work directly in the surgery room, I feel I have equally invested in patient’s treatment as the dentist and DA and help people out if they have any queries.
